The Fleet

Boats that Ballentine's Boat Shop have maintained or currently are maintaining include:
--L. Francis Herreshoff designs: 58’ Bounty, 45’ Mobjack, 33’ Araminta,  and many 28’ Stuart Knockabouts
--Sidney Herreshoff designs: 46’ Power Cruiser, Fishers Island 31.
--Nathaniel Herreshoff designs: Newport 29, Buzzards Bay 25, Buzzards Bay 15, Fish class, 12 ½ footers.
--Aage Nielsen designs: sloops and yawls 15’ to 43’
--Concordia: sloop and yawls 28’, 39’, 31’
--Hinkley: 35’ Pilot, 42’ Southwester

    Below are some photographs of some of the fleet that we maintain at BBS.  AZURA is a Fisher's Island 31', designed by Sidney Herreshoff and originally built in 1929.  The two Concordia's are: WIND SONG 28' (1938) and SECRET 31'.    SEA HAWK is a Buzzards Bay 15' (E Boat) built in 1915 at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company in Bristol, RI.  ARIEL II is a 1931 Herreshoff Power Cruiser rebuilt at Ballentine's.  HOOLIGAN was designed and built by Steve's father, George Ballentine in 1952.  The Stuart Knockabout is Steve Ballentine's new favorite toy.  TEASER is a Herreshoff Newport 29' and MERLOT is a Palmer Scott 25', both boats had extensive rebuilds at BBS.
