Boats For Sale

Herreshoff Daysailer:   $15,000

Bean Mo Chroi is a stunning centerboard daysailer of 28’ designed in 1932 by L. Francis Herreshoff. BEN (as she is affectionately known) has only one sister ship, which is a full keel model still active on Long Island. Amazingly, this design lay dormant until the late 1980’s when BEN inspired a fiberglass reproduction.  BEN provided the model that has led to production of an additional 75 of these elegant daysailers. (For more information on the E & D Stuart Knockabout go to their website: http://www.edeyandduff.com/stuart_spec.html.)

This boat represents a part of history in addition to being an exceptional sailing vessel. Having been built in 1933, Ben is getting on in years and is due for an overhaul. We hope to find her a new owner that recognizes her importance and has the resources to restore her.

For other information please view BEN's flyer.

New Shellback:                 $6,000

This boat has been very lightly used as a demo boat so we have reduced it from it's $10,000 value. This boat's construction is featured in this website and was displayed at the recent Boat Show in Hyannis.  See the Shellback Photo Gallery to see pictures of her building and finishing.

This tender includes the following options:
~6+ coats of Varnish on rails, seats and transom
~Extra paint with nonskid sole
~High quality rub rail
~Set of Shaw & Tenney oars with leather and extra varnish
~Set up for the addition of a sailing package if you are interested

It is sure to turn heads.  The yacht standard quality and simple beauty of this tender are impressive.

1983 Doughdish:              $17,000

This is a gaff rigged Doughdish, a fiberglass replica of the Herreshoff 12 1/2.    Included in her sale is: a cradle (no trailer), cockpit cover,  recent Sperry Sails, spinnaker sail and pole.  The boat is in good shape, but the brightwork will need some refreshing.

Currently the boat is in storage in Cataumet and available for viewing.

For more information please click on this DD Flyer.

I have heard of 2 wooden H12's for sale in Maine, I have not looked at them, but if you are in the market you may want to check them out: H12 on Yachtworld.

16' John Little Catboat:  $9,000

This is a 16 foot lapstrake constructed catboat with a small cuddy cabin. The boat is in solid condition, but will want some cosmetic work before launch.  It was built in the 1980's by John D. Little in Maine.

The spars and cushions are in good condition and the sail was bought quite recently and only used in two seasons. It has a centerboard so it is good in areas with minimal draft.

This would be a great boat for someone learning to sail or a sailor hoping to take a young family on day sails. The cuddy cabin makes a great spot for youngsters to nap out of the sun and spray.

The boat is in indoor storage. For a more complete listing: Click Here.
