Doughdish 368 - DOUGH NUT
DOUGH NUT had a short, one season stay with her current owner. Prior to launching this year, a streamlined Torqeedo kit was installed. The motor and canvas additions this spring totaled over $7,000. DOUGH NUT, her sails and canvas are all in good condition with a custom Triad trailer. She is a good solid boat that is well equipped. Yearly maintenance is suggested before launch in 2026 and a bottom strip and refinish should be on the 5 year plan.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
